Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)
Your MSDT program is split into two parts – ‘The MSDT Prep Course’ where you will learn to teach at least five speciality Instructor ratings from the above list and the ‘Instructor Internship Program’.
MSDT Prep Course
The MSDT Prep Course is usually scheduled over 3-5 days depending on which speciality courses you take. You will learn how to effectively organise, conduct and market PADI Speciality Diver courses across the areas you are most passionate about. Expand your knowledge and expertise in specialist areas and build on your existing teaching capabilities to make you a more effective Instructor.
Complete a thorough standards review, understand the course structure and requirements and learn how to deliver course specific content. The program includes practical in-water workshops as well as classroom based learning and you’ll be expected to demonstrate mastery of all knowledge development and waterskill performance requirements for each speciality course.
Instructor Internship Program
Now it’s time to teach real students on real courses. Work with our team of experienced Instructors to team teach students across a wide range of PADI courses. As you progress through more courses and build confidence you will be allowed to teach more aspects of each course to hone your skills and develop your teaching style. The ultimate aim is for you to be a competent professional educator able to logistically plan, manage and deliver the full range of courses in the PADI System of diver education.

- Three Team-teach Courses (Open Water, Advanced, Rescue or Speciality Courses)
- Team-teach on DSD’s, Re-Activates and Dive Leads
Additional team-teach courses are highly recommended and are available at a charge of 3,000฿ per course. Average group size will be approximately 4 students.
Our focus is on developing you into a capable and confident PADI dive educator. Your attitude, professionalism and capability to teach courses to a high standard is what sets you apart from other Instructors, simply collecting certifications is not the aim of the internship.
Course Cost: ฿ 25,000
PADI Fee: $580 AUD
Each PADI Speciality application fee is $145 AUD. When you complete five Specialities together you receive one PADI application fee for FREE and your MSDT application ($195 AUD) is also FREE.
Internship Only
We offer the opportunity to team-teach on courses without completing your MSDT training with us. The cost per course is ฿ 3,000 and the average group size will be approximately 4 students (depending how busy the Dive Centre is). You will be the certifying Instructor for all students on the course.
Individual Speciality Instructor Courses
If you would like to complete one individual speciality Instructor course the cost is ฿5,000 plus the PADI application fee of $145 AUD. The courses usually take 1-2 days to complete depending on the Speciality course requirements.
