BAN’S Internship
Build on the skills you’ve already developed and apply them in real life teaching scenarios with real students.
To obtain your rating of MSDT you need to certify at least 25 student divers at any level of the PADI system of diver education. Ban’s is the largest certifying dive centre in the world so obtaining the required certifications with us is easy, but our focus is on quality not quantity. Our Internship program allows you to team teach with a whole host of highly experienced Instructors who are committed to helping you achieve your training goals and obtain your MSDT rating. Learn scheduling, logistics, dive theory teaching techniques, skill demonstrations, safety procedures, leading and navigational skills as well as how to effectively communicate with your students and create a positive learning environment.
Not planning on doing your MSDT program just yet but are still interested in the Internship?
No problem! You can go straight from your IDC into the Internship program with us and still gain valuable teaching experience and certifications.
Employment Opportunities
At Ban’s we only employ staff who have completed their Divemaster and/or IDC/Internship with us.
We would never offer anyone employment upfront before signing onto a course especially if we have never met you. The professional level training courses are the first time where you get assessed on your professionalism, work ethic and attitude. It’s your opportunity to impress us and give a good account of yourself as we get prolonged exposure to you at the dive centre for a longer period of time. We are the largest certifying PADI dive centre in the world and during busy periods we frequently look to employ freelance Divemaster and/or Instructors and will always look to give opportunities to those people who have completed their professional level training with us. We have a large network of colleagues and friends across the globe, so even if there were no positions available on Koh Tao, we may be able to help you find suitable employment opportunities somewhere else around the world.

The below application fees are to be paid directly to PADI and are based on your training being undertaken with a Course Director.
